TOPSHOP MAKE UP LAUNCH
Sometimes when two things I love such as design and makeup make sweet love to each other they give birth to something I SUPER love. Such is the case with Topshop’s brand spanking new makeup line. It’s black and white packaging is simple and freshly detailed with dots, stripes, and hand-drawn details and type.
Packaging is definitely one of the deciding factors for me when purchasing makeup. It is the first impression you get of the product which is what initially catches your attention to try it on. Sarah Thorne is the wonder girl behind this fabulous packaging.
The 100 piece strong collection hit stores in the U.K and New York on May 5th this year. The line is surprisingly affordable with prices ranging from $8-$20.Topshop teamed up with top makeup artist Hanna Murray who is known for her work on London catwalks for some of the most influential fashion houses. She brings her fresh sensibility to the trendy collection. You can get application tips from Murray on how to get the Topshop look from the video tutorials featured on their website.
Topshop’s SS10 Trend Collection packaging is childlike and celestial, covered in shiny moons and shooting stars. With colors named Moonshine and Sun Shower, the collection is an array of metallic colors and glittery fun.
I have not yet had the pleasure of trying these products. I purposely kept away from the makeup section in Topshop because I am afraid of make up binge shopping syndrome. I’m sure I am not the only person this happens to. However I will most definitely take some of these products back home with me to Miami. I will try them out and let you know if they live up to my very high expectations of them!
