SPRING BEAUTY 2011
As the temperature rises so do the bold and vivid colors in beauty and fashion. Spring beauty should be fun and colorful. This season experiment and be playful with your makeup. Keep things pretty, light, and vibrant.

Bright colors on the lips, eyes, or cheeks are a spring staple. Hot pinks, corals, and reds are gorgeous on lips. Play with textures by alternating between super matte and super slick lips. To pull off this look keep the rest of the face minimal with flawless skin. Use the same technique when experimenting with bright eye lids. Use neon colors or jewel tones on your eyes and keep the rest of your makeup minimal to balance out the look. Cheeks can also look beautiful with a pop of color. If doing this keep them as the main focus pairing with neutral or pastel colors on eye’s and lips.
Pastels are soft and elegant. They can be used on eyes lips and cheeks as long as they are kept light. This look can be gorgeously worn day or night. Pastels are very feminine and natural. For night time makeup kick it up with soft iridescent colors that have more shine to them.
Golden hues are luminous and work with every skin tone. You can use golden colors swept on lids or on cheek bones. Golden glosses are also great for a shiny spring pout. For a daytime golden eye use a gold toned eyeliner (liquid or pencil) to line the eyes combined with a couple layer of mascara. For a gorgeous night time golden eye use a bright yellowy gold all over lips and a deeper bronze color to contour on the crease and underneath the lash line.
Neutral tones are perfect for a super natural sculpted look, day or night. For light skin tones choose colors like toffee or soft taupe. If you have medium skin tones caramel or ochre are a good choice. For darker skin tones dark browns and rusty colors are great.
Happy spring everybody!
