I love to watch the transition between summers light, fun, and flirty looks into falls sultry and seductive beauty. If summer is a sun goddess fall is a seductive mistress. The Fall 2010 runway shows revealed faces that were captivating, neutral, and bold. The looks were as mesmerizing as they were wearable. Beauty trends range from minimal to maximal this season and much inspiration seems to be drawn from looks of the past.

Gorgio Armani FW 2010

  • Kate Moss circa early 90′s inspired grungy bare faces with greasy lids and messy deconstructed hair. Smudged, slept in, morning after makeup.  It seems Moss has been the muse for many looks this season.

  • Let your mouth do all of the talking. Go bare faced with bold lips. Red and purple seem to be the hottest colors. This look is bold and beautiful. Quick and easy.

  • Colorful smokey eye. Experiment with eggplant, blue-grays, rich browns, charcoal, and plum. Keep lips light and nude.
  • Get catty. Use Sophia Loren as inspiration for sexy winged liner. A classic look that never goes out of style. Meow.

  • For an updated twist on the gray smokey eye use bronze and gold shadow to create a shimmery neutral look.
  • Bold brows. Grow them out and fill them in. Very Denise Richards in Starship Troopers. Love it.
  • My favorite trend this season is surprisingly the minimal makeup trend. Many makeup artists demonstrated that less is more by creating looks which accentuated natural beauty with minimal amount of product. To achieve this look just emphasize on perfecting skin and let your natural beauty shine. It’s fun to glam it up but it’s also nice to keep it easy and natural.

“There’s nothing perfect about beauty. When you perfect beauty, you sacrifice charm.”
